Summary

There is a need to disseminate, refine and implement more rapidly the many advances being made in science and its applications. There does not appear to be an encylopedia to meet this need. The Wiki approach would facilitate the development of an Encyclopedia of Applied Science.

Proposal

The proposed encyclopedia should cover all the applied sciences and have a category to cover transdisciplinary applied science.

Motivation

Recent advances in science have shown that the world and human minds tend to be integrative whereas our pursuit of knowledge of both has been the opposite. A comprehensive Applied Science Encyclopedia would help integrate new knowledge and facilitate its application.

Key Questions

Potential Costs

Should reduce costs and make it easier for people to contribute because of its sharper focus.
