Proposal

There are different proposals concerning databases and query of structured data. The Apache Jackrabbit GQL query language could be used for navigation of databases and query of data.

Motivation

• The language is simple but useful and comes with a software package that would be available with the Apache libraries.

• Is the language powerful enough?
• Is extension of the language towards conceivable future goals sensible?
