Summary

Proposal

I withdraw my proposal. --Goldzahn 22:09, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I propose that we should send long-time editors (not only administrators) into retirement or at least into a new project where they start as a rookie again. The retirement should start after 5 years of participation.

Motivation

The findings in the first reference is: "low-frequency or occasional editors experience a visibly greater resistance compared to high-frequency editors" and "We consider this as evidence of growing resistance from the Wikipedia community to new content, especially when the edits come from occasional editors."

These findings brought me to the conclusion that long-time editors are a problem.
