Summary

A telecentre is a public place where people can access computers, the Internet, and other digital technologies that enable them to gather information, create, learn, and communicate with others while they develop essential digital skills. Telecenters are seen as essential tools for addressing the digital divide and providing underserved populations access to ICT resources that they could not afford privately.

Telecentre can be a effective channel to reach a large amount of people from rural/remote, where shared computer and internet facilities are available and have a sustainable community to use that facilities.

Proposal

Connect with the Telecentre Networks around the world and support telecentres to promote and make available the Wikimedia content to the rural/remote community.
