Translation staff.
Proposal
Hire a sufficient number of professional translators to meet what the Board judges to be an appropriate level of demand.
Hire technical writers and good managers, too.
Motivation
Impoverished communities are less likely to produce viable volunteer staff, and less likely to be supported by existing machine translation technology.
Key Questions
Can we file a grant applications for each separate language we need a translator for? What's the worst that can happen, as long as we properly account for physical plant and related needs?
Should the vote on this proposal be reset because it was a stub for a while?
