Summary
A summer concert series featuring the major bands that have a Wikipedia article in any language
Proposal
Have a summer concert series in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where any band can play as long as their Wikipedia article has at least a start-class status in any of one of Wikipedia's various languages
Motivation
This concert would get people to know about the bands they read about on Wikipedia on a more personal level with their music.
Key Questions
- How do we get these bands to perform?
- Will we have all languages or restrict performances to English and or French (Canada's official languages)?
- Will the Wikipedia Summer Concert Series help improve the images of the bands being hired for this performance?
Potential Costs
money to hire the bands, money to rent the venue, money for equipment and staff, and money to advertise
