Impact?

Some proposals will have massive impact on end-users, including non-editors. Some will have minimal impact. What will be the impact of this proposal on our end-users? -- Philippe 01:09, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

It should not be turned on by default if anything like this ever gets implemented. Instead when one clicks on edit they could get a notification that inline AJAX editing is on and all they have to do to start editing is clicking on a paragraph. Also changes should not be saved automatically in order to avoid accidental submits. There should be two buttons after the textarea: Save, Cancel (and people should be given the option to opt-out) --84.2.212.127 01:29, 26 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Usability initiative

The usability initiative is working on this, see MediaWiki Usability discussion at Wikimania 2009. Nemo 21:35, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
