Impact?

Some proposals will have massive impact on end-users, including non-editors. Some will have minimal impact. What will be the impact of this proposal on our end-users? -- Philippe 23:15, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tone

Hi there. I don't know anything about this, but can you please change the tone a little bit. It sounds more like blame throwing than a proposal. Please move historical stuff into a section and focus on deliverables. thanks, mike Mdupont 17:44, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Though this is a bit calmer than the threads on EN, I suggest this be deleted per en:Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive566#Thekohser, Shoemaker's Holiday, and Wikivoices. Full disclosure, I'm a member of the wikivoices team but was not on that episode. We do aim to have two people record each episode and that usually suffices. While it's certainly possible to archive the proposal, I'm not willing to do it "per" a discussion on the english wikipedia... the English Wikipedia has no precedent setting role here. However, I personally think the topic is worth talking about. As a member of the election committee for the election in question, I'm concerned that the election had significant flaws - not, in my view, of such a nature as to compromise the results of the election, but sufficiently broad as to merit the discussion. Therefore, I'm not personally willing to close this proposal and archive it. -- Philippe 22:45, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Struck votes

Philippe, can you explain your objection to including material about the struck votes? Wiki Defender's summary here seems right, to the best of my recollection. Sarcasticidealist 03:54, 30 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sure. DUring the early phases of the election, many people accidentally voted twice, because of an unclear software issue. When votes were struck, that was almost universally the reason. We kept the most recent vote and struck the earlier ones. In some cases there were MANY extra votes from the same person. -- Philippe 04:05, 30 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
