Proposal talk:Hub Page

Latest comment: 15 years ago by Angela in topic Hub page per user

I can't understand how this hub page would be different from special:recentchanges or special:search. Please improve the proposal. Nemo 11:18, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Impact?

Some proposals will have massive impact on end-users, including non-editors. Some will have minimal impact. What will be the impact of this proposal on our end-users? -- Philippe 00:10, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikihow

There is something very similar in www.wikihow.com, JavaScript based. It is interesting to view it at times but slows the browser till making the editing difficult. The hub definitely should not be a section in the default page but the idea would work for some dedicated location. Filtering would be required as the total number of events happening in Wikipedia is likely too large for showing them all at time. Audriusa 14:52, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hub page per user

Instead of one single hub page, consider a hub page per user, generated from what they're interested in, what they're watching, activities of the wikiprojects they're members of, etc. See Wikia:Help:My Home for an example. Angela 13:29, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
