i agree 100 percent

I couldnt agree more with this proposal.. and while the Usability initiative in concerned with the front end.. i think this proposal is more concerned with the backend.

also the administration aspect of mediawiki is ancient as well. this proposal falls along the same lines

MediaWiki architecture changes?
