Few words have the same meaning across all languages, unless of course it is a brand new word that is globalised.

I believe that Wikipedia has become a global word for reliable good quality data and the more we improve its quality the more we build on that good name. Just as Guinness has become associated with world records, Wisden for cricket stats and Nobel for scientific prizes, Wikipedia has become associated with an online encyclopaedia and it is unnecessary to rebrand it.
