I'm relative lucky with the commonist. Which do more than your proposal want (fill the description page, no zip neccesarry...). So I think we should improve and integrate this more. --Kolossos 17:31, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Improved tools for adding multimedia content would be great, whether that is the Commonist or a tool like that described in this proposal--Filceolaire 07:54, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not a good idea

From a copyright standpoint this proposal is just asking for problems. 98.227.232.84 19:44, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I disagree. Photographs submitted by the photographers are generally not a copyright problem. Neither are engineering diagrams and animations submitted by their creators.
Historic Photographs and paintings are out of copyright despite what the National Portrait Gallery would have you believe. Even if the courts did decide that the galleries can claim copyright in High Res reproductions nevertheless Wikipedia will, I believe, be able to convince Galleries to give us low res copies under suitable licenses, as the BundesArchiv did recently for example, or allow us to take our own photos.--Filceolaire 07:54, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Impact?

Some proposals will have massive impact on end-users, including non-editors. Some will have minimal impact. What will be the impact of this proposal on our end-users? -- Philippe 00:14, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

More illustrations will make for better articles.--Filceolaire 07:54, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
