Ideas?

What should I talk about in future Signposts? Add your thoughts below. Also, would love to see other people here contribute stories/ideas about this process to the Signpost.

  • I propose the topic: Volunteers. The meeting (Meetups/Chapters (November 2009)) is a good source for the story. --Goldzahn 10:47, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
    • What would you say about volunteers, Goldzahn? --Eekim 15:26, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
      • Most Wikimedians only know the role of an editor. But each Wikimedian is not only writing articles, he/she is also shaping the community. That means: "Community Health", "Reader Conversion" (Newbie treatment), ... (and some of the other task forces) is not just a job for the foundation, but also for them. They should be aware of that. The recommendations and the fact-base developed in the strategy-wiki could be an eye-opener for each Wikimedian. In addition to the role as an Editor in the en:WP, Wikimedians should go and talk to the chapters and the foundation (en:chapters are the British Chapter and Australian Chapter). Again, there are recommendations and facts. --Goldzahn 17:33, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
        • I love this idea, Goldzahn. I'm going to start drafting a piece today at /2010-02-08. Would you be willing to coauthor this with me? --Eekim 18:00, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
