Task force/Phase 2

In October 2009, the Wikimedia Foundation appointed a Task Force Selection Committee to define the mandates and choose members for an initial set of Task Forces for the Wikimedia strategic planning process. The committee along with several volunteers processed over 2,000 applicants based on a set of criteria and created 14 Task Forces around a set of emerging strategic priorities. The groups were tasked with coming up with recommendations by January 12, 2010. Ten of the 14 Task Forces delivered recommendations.
