Legitimizing a Scholarly Review

Hi Daanschr. I am sorry for not getting back to you sooner about your reply here to my comment. The proposal was not mine and I only supported it. I will look into Wikiversity as an alternate project that I can contribute to and it is possible that I might continue to contribute to the Strategic Planning project. But like I wrote, the culture on Wikipedia has changed so much from when it first started and I use to contribute more. The culture has changed for the worse. Now, the project is filled with people who have very little education, critical thinking skills, collaborative spirit, or constructive motivations. I understand my statements are harsh, but that many well-intentioned people have left Wikipedia and that after almost 10 years it still has not gotten much respect from outsiders is testament to this. I will wait to see the outcome of Strategic Planning project- that is how effective it is in bringing about meaningful change. Until then, I am comfortable on the sidelines. Thanks again for you thoughts. GMJ 23:00, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
